HTC Zara will be named as HTC Desire 601

We have saw the HTC Zara on previous leaked for the first time and this time we got a news that HTC Zara will be called as HTC Desire 601. The HTC Desire 601 probably will be a better phone than the Desire 600.

 

According to evleaks, the HTC Zara will ship as the Desire 601. The Desire 601 is rumored to feature a 4.5" qHD display, 1.2 GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor (most probably will be Snapdragon 400 chipset), 1 GB of RAM, expandable 8 GB storage and 8 MP rear camera with LED flash.

Huawei Honor 3 goes official with IP57-certified

Huawei has launched the third generation of Honor on the Chinese market yesterday. The Huawei Honor 3, is the successor of Honor 2, which was announced last year. It features a 4.7" 720p IPS in-cell display and powered by homemade Huawei K3V2E chipset with a 1.5 GHz quad-core processor and 2 GB of RAM.



The Huawei Honor 3 is IP57-certified, which allows you submerge it under 1 meter deep water for 30 minutes. It is also a dust resistance smartphone too.

Samsung Galaxy Note III render appears on Spigen's website

A Samsung Galaxy Note III rendered image of the device has been posted on Spigen's website, a company that manufactures cases for smartphones. The Galaxy Note III will be unveiled on 4th of September at IFA 2013. The render definitely looks plausible and while there's no way to know if it's the real deal, it probably bears quite a lot of resemblance to the final product.



The Galaxy Note III rumored specs include a 5.7" 1080p Super AMOLED display, Snapdragon 800 chipset or Exynos 5420 chipset depending on your region, 3 GB of RAM, 13 MP camera, expandable 16/32/64 GB storage and a 3,200 mAh battery. You can also expect an integrated S-Pen.

More Sony Xperia Z1 photos leak

We have been posting Sony Xperia Z1 news for a long time, and the Xperia Z1 appeared in photo every time. This time, the Telecommunication Equipment Certification Center in China has given the Sony Xperia Z1 a network license allowing it to operate on the country's mobile networks. However, the Certification Center has also leaked four snapshots of the smartphone from the front, back and two of its sides.

The photos confirm just about everything we've already seen about the phone in all of its leaks and appearances to date. The Xperia Z1 will be features same design as Xperia Z but comes with new notification light above the Sony logo.

Unknown HTC smartphone leaks with slim profile

An unknown HTC smartphone has leaked yesterday via two photos. The photos did not revealed much details on the device, but only a slim body profile.

There's a rumor saying that the phone will pack a 4" WVGA display, 1 GB of RAM, 8 GB internal storage, a 5 MP rear camera and 1.3 MP front camera. There is no word on the processor, connectivity or Android version.

Nokia upcoming Bandit 6" phablet to be called Lumia 1520, first photo leaks alongside Lumia 1020

It seems that 6"+ phablet will no longer exclusive for Android smartphone. Nokia upcoming 6" phablet, Nokia Bandit, which will to be called Nokia Lumia 1520, is the first Windows Phone that will be packing 6" 1080p display to challenge Android smartphone. Today, the first photo of Lumia 1520 leaks next to the Lumia 1020.



The Lumia 1520 is rumored to feature a 6" 1080p display, Snapdragon 800 chipset, 20 MP camera on the back, wireless charging support, a polycarbonate body and Windows Phone 8 GDR3.

HTC dual-SIM version One Max with removable back cover spotted

The HTC One Max has leaked again, this time in China, sporting a dual-SIM slot and fingerprint scanner. The One Max comes with removable back cover where the SIM slots placed underneath on it.



From the image above, you can see the fingerprint scanner that located below the camera sensor and there is also an button in the notification screen that shows a fingerprint icon in the following image. Finally, we saw the Beats logo at the back of the phone, which mean that the upcoming HTC One Max will still feature Beats Audio enhancement.

The first video teaser video of Sony Xperia Z1 (Honami) has just been published by the Japanese maker. However, the video doesn't show new details of Xperia Z1, it is just a combination of all teaser pictures we've seen.



Sony has already showed us the power key, waterproof panels and the G lens which located at the back of Xperia Z1. We know that Xperia Z1 will be thicker than the Xperia Z.

Sony Xperia Z Ultra's "X-Reality for Mobile" and UI update now rolling

Sony is definitely doing great job in firmware updates, yesterday the Xperia S, Xperia SL and Xperia Acro S bugs fix just rolled out, and today Sony finally updates Xperia Z Ultra which brings X-Reality engine and new Xperia UI that we've seen at official announcement.

The firmware build 14.1.B.1.510 update is now rolling out to the HSPA+ version of the Xperia Z Ultra (which is current Xperia Z Ultra that available in Malaysia).

Just 8 days away, the Sony Xperia Z1 (Honami) will be announced, but the Xperia Z1 doesn't seems like to hiding behind the scene. Today, a bunch of Xperia Z1 live photos leaked, showing that Xperia Z1 Omnibalance body design.

LG Optimus L9 II goes official with a 4.7" display

Following yesterday's leaked image and we said that the LG Optimus L9 II will be official soon. It is surprise that the Optimus L9 II has been officially unveiled by LG in the Netherlands just after a day that Optimus L9 II leaked.



The specs that have been confirmed by LG in press release include a 4.7" True HD IPS display, 1.4 GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor, 2,150 mAh battery and an IR-port.

A pre-release Android 4.3 Jelly Bean version for the HTC One is already available as a custom ROM, with the full Android 4.3 build expected to be released in the coming weeks.



Few days ago, HTC confirmed that the U.S. and Canadian HTC One versions and the HTC Droid DNA will be moved directly to Android 4.3 Jelly Bean by the end of September.

Sony Xperia Honami mini appears beside BlackBerry Q10

We've got to know Xperia Z1 (Honami) these few weeks but what about the rumored Honami mini? A post from a newly registered XDA-Developers user Xleaky shows a compact Sony phone next to a BlackBerry Q10.

The post reads: “You didn't see this from me... but 4th of Sep is gonna be exciting! Thats all I'm saying!"

The BlackBerry Q10 measures 119.6 x 66.8 mm and the Honami mini in the picture is visibly smaller. User vivftp calculated the dimensions of the Honami mini using the Q10 as reference and ended up with 109.2 x 57.9 mm.

LG Optimus L9 II photo leaks with specs in tow

LG Optimus L9 was the only one from the Optimus L-series not to receive a successor at the last MWC but it seems that the second generation of Optimus L9 is coming soon. Rumor said that the Optimus L9 II will be unveiled and launched very soon.



The handset looks a lot like the Optimus G and its predecessor, it doesn't the hardware Home key but comes with capacitive one. The Optimus L9 II will be powered by a 1 GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 CPU with Adreno 305 GPU and 1 GB of RAM.

Sony Xperia Z1 (Honami) confirmed having G lens

Sony continue releases teasers of Xperia Z1 (Honami) and this time the image teased Xperia Z1 will be having G lens, which is Sony's line of lenses for DSLRs and digicams.

From the image above, there's an LED flash below the camera but no xenon flash as early rumors indicated. We expected that Xperia Z1 will be having big 1/2.3" sensor for low-light photography. It's about 70% bigger than most smartphone camera sensors used at the moment. The 20.7 MP resolution pixels will still bigger than the ones in current 13 MP phones.

A new render of the upcoming Sony Xperia Z1, codenamed Honami (C690X), has surfaced. The render shows Xperia Z1 in all three colours - black, white and purple (similar to Xperia Z and Xperia Z Ultra).

Sony teases Xperia Z1 images, waterproof confirmed

Yesterday, Sony had teased their upcoming flagship device - Xperia Z1, codenamed Honami. Accompanied by the hashtag #bestofSony comes an image of Sony's signature power button, complete with Sony's claims of precision engineering. Today, another Xperia Z1 teaser appeared on Facebook. From the image we can confirm that the Xperia Z1 will be a water and dust resistance smartphone.

Gold iPhone 5S photos leak, 128 GB version box spotted

Rumors said that Apple will not only launching the black and white versions of iPhone 5S, it will also be available in gold colour. Analysts also said that Apple might also launch the 128 GB version of next generation iPhone. Today, there are a few iPhone 5S photos in gold leak, the 128 GB version box also spotted on web.

The gold (or champagne) coloured iPhone 5S is just next to the black and white versions. The plastic panels on the top and bottom of the back are missing, but they will probably have a slightly different color like on the other versions. The front is also not shown in the photos.

Nokia Lumia 625 will released in Malaysia next week with RM 939 price tag

Few months ago, Nokia has announced the Lumia 625, which is currently the largest screen Nokia Lumia Windows Phone. Nokia Malaysia has just announced that the Lumia 625 will be available in next week with RM 939 price tag.



The Lumia 625 has a 4.7" IPS super sensitive touch display but with lower resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 2. The phone is powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core Snapdragon CPU with Adreno 305 GPU and 512 MB of RAM.

Sony Xperia Honami will be named as Xperia Z1, press shot leaks

It seems that the upcoming Sony flagship device, codenamed Honami, is finally getting a new official name. The Xperia Honami is said to be called as Xperia Z1.

Additionally, a few press shots of the Xperia Z1 has also leaked, but sadly the shots is in low resolution, so we couldn't see it clearly. The press shots reveal  that the phone will be available in three colours - white, black and purple. The phone also shares the glass back design as Xperia Z and Xperia Z Ultra.



The Xperia Z1 rumor to having a Snapdragon 800 CPU, it has already benchmarked today. It will also having a Adreno 330 GPU with 2 GB of RAM. The phone sports a 5" Full HD Triluminos display and it runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean with Sony's Xperia UI on top.

HTC Zara image leaks with 4.5" display

HTC upcoming mid-ranger, codenamed as Zara, has leaks out with image. We first time heard of HTC Zara, which supposed mashup between the HTC One and Desire lines.

The HTC Zara looking a little bit like HTC One X, although it is just a mid-range smartphone, but it does have dual frontal stereo speakers - HTC BoomSound, at the front. The HTC Zara is said to be running on Android 4.3 with Sense 5.5 UI on the top.

HTC One Max leaks again, this time with fingerprint scanner

HTC One Max is expected to unveil on 4th of September at IFA 2013, Berlin. The One Max just can't stay quietly and this time the new photo of HTC One Max leaks with fingerprint scanner which located below the camera lens.

The One Max appears alongside with it siblings - the One and One mini. As you can see, the back of the One Max has a fingerprint scanner below the camera lens. It doesn't match to the allegedly official render that we saw last week from evleaks. But as what evleaks said, the official render last week is not the final artwork so we might see some changes in the future.

After the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update for the One X+, HTC has finally rolls out the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update to the company first quad-core device, HTC One X. Back to last year MWC 2012, HTC had introduced their new flagship device - One X, the company first quad-core device and the device has brought to us some new features with it HTC ImageChip such as burst mode, video-pic (capture photos while recording video) and more. These features have now become every smartphone "must have" features.

The update is currently available to unlocked European version HTC One X owners, but we believed that the rest of the One X owners around the world will be get it in the coming weeks.

Sony Xperia Honami new camera samples leak

We have see the Xperia Honami camera sample previously with 20 MP resolution, but it is clearly not enough for Sony fans, there are a few camera samples of the Xperia Honami leak again but this time with only 8 MP resolution.

Sony Xperia Honami regional launch will be held in Malaysia on 4th to 6th of September

Sony upcoming flagship device, codenamed Honami, is expected to unwrap on 4th of September at IFA 2013, Berlin. However, it seems that the Xperia Honami regional launch event will be held in Malaysia at the same time as IFA 2013 unveilin.

According to a tech portal from Philippines, Yugatech, they have received a press invite from Sony Mobile schedule for 4th to 6th September. The site also states that the event will held in Malaysia but the venue was unclear. It seems that Sony's product announcement at IFA 2013 will also be unveiled at the regional event, we expected that the DSC-QX10 and DSC-QX100 external lens-camera will also unveiled alongside with Xperia Honami.

[Updated] Malaysia will be getting both Exynos and Snapdragon variants of Galaxy Note III

[Updated: Samsung will bring LTE variant Galaxy Note 3 to Malaysia, click here to view the news.]

Samsung is expected to announced two versions of Galaxy Note III, which is Exynos (non-LTE) and Snapdragon (LTE) variants. We're not surprise that Samsung did it as it is same as both Exynos and Snapdragon variants of Galaxy S4. Before that, SamMobile has released a list of countries that will receive the Exynos and Snapdragon variants of the Galaxy Note III.

Similar to Galaxy S4, Malaysia will be getting both variants of Galaxy Note III. The non-LTE Galaxy Note III will be powered by Exynos 5420 octa-core CPU and the LTE variant will be powered by Snapdragon 800 quad-core CPU.

Good news, HTC Malaysia has finally brought the red version of HTC One to Malaysia. The red HTC One has the same full metal body as the silver and black version. It has the same specs as the silver and black version, the different is just the paint job of it is in red.

HTC teases One Max in a 2 minutes video

Well everyone know that HTC will be joining phablets market this year to compete with Samsung, Sony, HTC, LG and more. HTC has released an extended version of its "Here's To Change" ad. The ad follows Mr. Robert Downey Jr. through the process of figuring out what the HTC acronym means, such as "Happy Telephone Company" and "Hold This Cat".

The One Max is said to feature a 5.9" Full HD display, aluminium body, quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, 2 GB of RAM, 4 MP UltraPixel camera with OIS, dual frontal stereo speakers and 3,300 mAh battery.

Asus Malaysia confirms Google Nexus 7 (2013) expected arrive Malaysia in mid-September

Google Nexus 7 (2013) was announced last month, it is a huge upgrade from the previous generation of Nexus 7. During yesterday Asus Malaysia's launch event, the company have confirmed that the 2013 Google Nexus 7 is coming to Malaysia soon.

According to ASUS Malaysia’s Country Product Manager for Tablets,  Li Huai Pin,  the 2013 Google Nexus 7 is expected to be in Malaysia sometime in mid-September. However, he is not able to confirm the device's price tag at the moment.

BlackBerry just announced a new entry-level BB OS 7.1 smartphone - BlackBerry 9720. It comes with 2.8" HVGA touchscreen and a hardware QWERTY keyboard.

Sony will be reveal attachable smartphone external lens-cameras soon. The DSC-QX10 and DSC-QX100 pack a lens, sensor, card slot and image processor.

Apple next iPhone is rumored to be unveiled on 10th of September,  though we're not sure what product will Apple announced that day, but it seems that popular iPhone case maker SPIGEN has given us some ideas about the product that will launched that day.

HTC One Max rumor will be announced on IFA 2013, it is said to be a bigger version of the HTC One. Today, the image of HTC One Max appeared on Google+. The image is posted by evleaks on Google+.



From the image above, the One Max packs the same design language as HTC One, which mean it also has the aluminium body. However, the One Max has the same polycarbonate frame at the side as the One mini. The One Max has also comes with the same volume rocker design as the One mini.

Sony Xperia Honami camera sample appears on Picasa

The first camera sample of Xperia Honami has appeared on Picasa. Unfortunately, the raw sample from the HSPA+ version of the handset (C6902) is not available to download from the site, however the EXIF data confirms a number of rumoured specs.



The photo captured has a resolution of 5248 x 3936 pixels, which is 20.66 MP (rumors pointed to a 20.7 MP camera sensor). The photo has a 4:3 aspect ratio and f/2.0 aperture. The firmware running on the device was 14.1.G.1.443_9_b600.

Samsung is holding an event on 4th of September for the second episode of Unpacked event, it is expected to unveil the Galaxy Note III. But before you're thinking the Galaxy Note III, don't forget that Sony has also holds an event on the same date to announce their latest flagship, Xperia Honami (probably will be another name after it is official). An official teaser images of Xperia Honami has showed up which reconfirming the date of the phone's unveil and hinting of a purple version.

[Updated] The Wi-Fi version Sony Xperia Tablet Z is now available for Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update.

LG introduces new G2 with new smartphone design

LG Electronics has just unveiled their latest flagship device - LG G2, the first smartphone that introduced under LG "G" Series without Optimus branding. The LG G2 comes with new design and new features.

The LG G2 has a 5.2" Full HD IPS display at 423 ppi of pixel density, the display use Graphic RAM (GRAM) technology to reduce power consumption up to 26% when displaying still image. LG also claims that it will increases the battery life up to 10%. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3.
