Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 leaks in a press render

It seems that there will be a new Galaxy Tab series tablet joining the Samsung tablet family. @evleaks has uploaded a press render of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4.



As you can see from the render above, the Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 packs the same design language as the Galaxy Note 3 and can be say as smaller version of Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition). It has the same leather back and the tablet is quite boxy.

Sony Sirius might coming to CES with Snapdragon 805 processor

Sony is said to be launching two flagship devices this year, and the first flagship device is reportedly coming to CES which is just two days away.



The device is codenamed as Sirius and it is said to be having 5.2" 2K display with Snapdragon 805 chipset. Other specs are include 3 GB of RAM, 20.7 MP camera with Sony G lens, Android 4.4 KitKat and 3,500 mAh battery.

HTC M8 will be named as HTC One+ and powered by Snapdragon 805 SoC

The HTC M8 was rumored to have a Snapdragon 800 processor, 2 GB RAM, UltraPixel camera, 2.1 MP front-facing shooter, 5" Full HD display and running on Android 4.4 KitKat with Sense 6 UI. However today there's a new rumor pointing that the successor of HTC One will be called as HTC One+ and it will be powered by Snapdragon 805 SoC.



The new rumor was reported by recognized XDA member, Mike1986, which provides more information of the HTC M8 a.k.a One+.

HTC One series will get Android 4.4.2 KitKat update sometime around next month

It seems that HTC is already working on Android 4.4.2 KitKat update to the One series. According to @LiabTooFeR, the HTC One, One Max and One mini will be getting the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update around February, which is next month.


If the news is true, it means that HTC One series users will no longer waiting for the Android 4.4 KitKat update.

Motorola Moto G will arrive Malaysia on 10th of January

We already know that the Motorola Moto G will enter Malaysian market when it was announced. According to LowYat.Net, the Moto G is rumored to available in Malaysia on 10th of January.

Our market will only getting 16 GB version of the Moto G instead getting both 8 GB and 16 GB variants, it seems Motorola know that the 8 GB version won't be selling good in our market. As for the retail price, the Moto G is likely to staying very close to $199 US retail price, which means it won't cost you more than RM 700.

Samsung Galaxy S4 and Galaxy Note 3 will get Android 4.4 KitKat next month

French carrier SFR has released details on the Android 4.4 KitKat update for Galaxy S4 and Galaxy Note 3. According to them, both devices will be getting the update next month or early February next year.



As the update news is for carrier devices, you can expect that global roll out might coming earlier than it. So far Samsung hasn't revealed any news regarding the firmware update timeline to its devices.

Nokia is working on low-cost Android device - Normandy

According to The Verge, a mysterious Nokia Normandy reportedly to be an Android device. The Nokia Normandy previously is said to be developed as an equivalent to the low-cost Nokia Asha range.



The Nokia Normandy will run on modified Android version, just like the Amazon Kindle Fire range. The OS will allow the handset to run on Android apps.

Huawei Ascend P7 specs leak in internal document

Samsung to update the entry-level smartphones to KitKat

We already know that Samsung will update its high-end devices to Android KitKat. Samsung not only plan to update the high-end devices, the manufacturer is also considering to bring the KitKat update to its entry-level smartphones.



A leaked document shows that Samsung is investigating the Galaxy S4 mini, Galaxy S III mini, Galaxy Ace 3, Galaxy S Advance, Galaxy Ace 2, Galaxy Core, Galaxy Fame and Galaxy Fresh to see whether they are capable of running KitKat smoothly.

Asus holds an event on 11st of December for the Padfone mini

It seems that Asus has decided to enter the "mini" phone war, Asus has hold an even on 11st of December in Taiwan for new device announcement.



From the press invite above, you can see that the press event is for the Padfone mini official announcement. The Padfone mini is said to feature a 4.3" display with qHD resolution (540 x 960 pixels), and the dock station will be having 7" display with resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels.

HTC M8 specs leak through AnTuTu benchmark

The HTC M8 is said to be the successor of the One, according to some sources, the M8 will make its own debut on next year February. Today there are a few screenshots of the AnTuTu benchmark showing that the specs of the upcoming M8.


According to the AnTuTu benchmark test, the M8 will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8974AB processor with quad-core CPU and Adreno 330 GPU. The MSM8974AB is upgraded Snapdragon 800 processor, which means it is faster than current Snapdragon 800 that found in some flagships.

5.5" Huawei phablet leaks in live photos

Huawei is working on a 5.5" phablet to compete against other phablet once again. The phablet is codenamed as G750, it will be powered by MediaTek's new true octa-core processor.


The new MediaTek true octa-core processor is able to run all eight cores simultaneously unlike the Samsung Exynos 5 Octa processor, which runs four faster cores or four slower cores depending on processing needs.

The new SoC also able to support 4K video playback that already found on Snapdragon 800 SoC, it also able to capture 16 MP stills and record full HD videos.

[Updated] Sony Xperia Z1 spotted in red, runs on Android 4.4 KitKat

The Sony Xperia Z1 is currently available in black, white and purple. However the red version of the Xperia Z1 was spotted and the handset is running on Android 4.4 KitKat.



No word on the release date of the red Xperia Z1 but assume that it will go official alongside with the Xperia Z1s.

Alcatel Idol X+ leaks in live photos

TCL is a company behind the Alcatel smartphones, it has announced that the company will unveil the successor of its flagship - Alcatel Idol X+.

Today a couple of live photos have leaked pointing that the Idol X+ will have the same design as its predecessor.

Android 4.4 KitKat update schedule for Samsung Galaxy devices leak

Samsung hasn't announced any news on Android 4.4 KitKat update, but there's a leaked schedule shows which Galaxy devices will get the Android 4.4 KitKat update first.



As you can see, the Galaxy S4, Galaxy Note 3, Galaxy S III and Galaxy Note II will get the update on next year. The Galaxy S4 and Galaxy Note 3 will be the first two devices to taste chocolate on January 2014, while the Galaxy S III and Galaxy Note II will get the update on March or April 2014.

It's another day and another leak of the Xperia Z1s, it seems that the Xperia Z1s loves to stick with its bigger brother. Today, a bunch of live photos of Xperia Z1s next to the Xperia Z1 leaked.


The Xperia Z1s is said to launch in the first quarter of next year, there's also a possibility that the Xperia Z1s could launch in these few weeks. Price wise the Xperia Z1s is said to be at RMB 2,600 which is around RM 1,899.

Sony Xperia Z1s gets sized up against its bigger brother again

After the first meet with its bigger brother, the Xperia Z1s continue sized up against its bigger brother. This time around, the image does said that it will not be called as Xperia Z1s. According to the source, the handset is named as Xperia Amami, but it may be the code name for the Xperia Z1s that hasn't confirmed by Sony just yet.



Not much details have been revealed except the side of the handset. According to the image above, you can see that the handset is quite similar to the Xperia Z1 despite in smaller size and do not have the flap covered slot.

New Google Nexus 10 leaks, this time it is manufactured by LG

The new Google Nexus 10 has been rumored for a few months, it is said to be manufactured bu Asus. However, a couple of images leaked out today pointing that the 2013 edition Nexus 10 will be manufactured by LG.



The tablet looks identical to the current generation Nexus 10 by Samsung. The image suggests the upcoming Nexus 10 will come with model number LG-V510. From the image you can also see the Nexus 10 has a single speaker on top of the display instead of dual speakers like Samsung did.

Sony Xperia Z1s appears next to its bigger brother

The Sony Xperia Z1s has made another unofficial appearance. This time around, the Xperia Z1s appeared next to its bigger brother. The mini version of a flagship appeared next to its bigger brother become quite common in a leak, as HTC and Samsung have did it before.


The small flagship is said to be using IPS display panel instead of TFT display. Judging from the image above, I found that the viewing angle of the Xperia Z1s looks dimmer than usual.

HTC M8 specs get more details

We saw the first photo of the HTC M8 last week but there is no word on the specs of the M8. Thanks to evleaks, we finally get to know some information of the HTC M8.


The HTC M8 will be the first HTC smartphone to run on Snapdragon 800 processor and it will boot in Android 4.4 KitKat. Screen wise the M8 will have a 5" 1080p display instead of 2K resolution.
