LG announces GX in Korean, a refreshed version of Optimus G Pro

LG has announced a refreshed version of Optimus G Pro, the LG GX. The LG GX has the same specs as the Optimus G Pro but it comes with improved UX interface with new features.



The LG GX has a 5.5" Full HD IPS display, powering the device is the Snapdragon 600 processor. The GX sports 2 GB of RAM, 32 GB expandable storage, 13 MP camera and 3,140 mAh battery.

Google adds new colour for Nexus 7 and Google Play Edition devices - Sony Xperia Z Ultra and LG G Pad 8.3

Google has added new Google Play Edition devices to its store, the first one is the giant Sony Xperia Z Ultra with the 6.44" Full HD Triluminos display.



Nothing change from the original Xperia Z Ultra but the user interface, it has the same Snapdragon 800 SoC inside with 2 GB of RAM, 8 MP camera, 16 GB internal storage, microSD card slot, 3,050 mAh battery and the 6.5 mm slim IP58 certified body. The Xperia Z Ultra GPE runs on Android 4.4 KitKat with stock Android UI.

LG G Flex will be available outside the Korean market

The LG G Flex was known as curved display smartphone and it was announced in October. However the G Flex is currently exclusive for Korean market only. Here's a good news for you, the LG G Flex will be available outside the Korean market.


It's a great news that LG has decided to roll out the G Flex in global markets. The LG G Flex will be available for pre-order in Singapore starting from 8th of December. While the device will go on sale in Hong Kong starting from 13rd of December and will be available through major carriers and leading electronics retailers.

LG now rolling out Android 4.4 KitKat update to the G2

LG has finally rolled out the Android 4.4 KitKat update to their flagship - LG G2. The update is now available to Korean LG G2 users, while the rest of the country still need to wait for it.


It seems that LG will be skipping the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update and move straight to the Android 4.4 KitKat update. Currently the device that confirmed will get the Android KitKat update is only the G2, while other LG ex-flagships are still waiting for the confirmation from LG.

LG G Flex gets drop test treatment

The LG G Flex was well-known as curved display smartphone, its curved display is flexible unlike the Samsung Galaxy Round. So, will the curved display save the G Flex from the drop test? AndroidAuthority.com has done a drop test of the LG G Flex.



Disappointingly, the LG G Flex's screen cracked after the drop test. With the glass screen extending right to the side and lacking the protection of a frame, the G Flex couldn’t survive a direct impact, and the final face down fall only extended the damage.

Google rolls out Android 4.4 KitKat update to Nexus 4

The long wait is over, Google has finally rolled out Android 4.4 KitKat update to the Nexus 4. The new update is build KRT16S, which includes a few additional bug fixes introduced with the original KRT16O build.



The Android 4.4 KitKat update weighs 238.9 MB, so Wi-Fi only update is recommended to conserve your data usage.

New Google Nexus 10 leaks, this time it is manufactured by LG

The new Google Nexus 10 has been rumored for a few months, it is said to be manufactured bu Asus. However, a couple of images leaked out today pointing that the 2013 edition Nexus 10 will be manufactured by LG.



The tablet looks identical to the current generation Nexus 10 by Samsung. The image suggests the upcoming Nexus 10 will come with model number LG-V510. From the image you can also see the Nexus 10 has a single speaker on top of the display instead of dual speakers like Samsung did.

Google Nexus 5 by LG goes official

This time the Google Nexus 5 appeared officially, which means that the new Nexus smartphone manufactured by LG is now official.

The Nexus 5 has a 4.95" Full HD display at 445 ppi of pixel density. It is powered by 2.3 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor with 2 GB of RAM. The phone has 16/32 GB internal storage without microSD card slot.

Google Nexus 5 by LG appears on online retailer and Canadian wireless carrier, specs get confirmed

The Google Nexus 5 will be manufactured by LG, but the official release date of the next Nexus device is still unclear. Well, Dutch online retailer Belsimpel has put up the Nexus 5 on sale already, and the pricing of the it is expensive comparing to the Google Play Store that has leaked previously.



The Nexus 5 is priced at € 459 and it is also available on contract with Tele2 for € 36 a month, Hi HS Student Medium for € 35 a month and T-Mobile for € 47 a month. It is a 2 years contract with a free 16 GB Nexus 5. Well, Belsimpel has now taken down the offer of Nexus 5 although the page can still be viewed.

LG G Flex goes official with curved OLED display

LG has finally announced their first curved display smartphone in Korea - LG G Flex. The LG G Flex will hit all three major carriers in Korea next month.

The LG G Flex has a curved OLED display on the front, it has a 6" 720p display instead of 1080p that found on the Galaxy Round. The G Flex has IMAX cinema-like horizontal curve in landscape mode will allow for an immersive experience when watching videos or playing video games.

Google Nexus 5 leaks in white, rumor release on 1st of November

Follow by yesterday leak, evleaks has uploaded another Google Nexus 5 press render. This time around the Nexus 5 dressed up in white, evleaks has also stated that the official release date for the Nexus 5 is on 1st of November.

From the render above, the Nexus 5 probably will having a white version, but it's just as the previous generation Nexus smartphone, black front and on the back is white.

LG G Flex appears on AnTuTu, showing that it has a 720p display

The LG G Flex has leaked in photos and video recently, showing the curved display of the smartphone. This time around, the LG G Flex appeared on AnTuTu tests, where the benchmark recorded the device's specs and scores in its database.


According to AnTuTu, the LG G Flex has a 6" 720p display instead of previous 1080p rumors. The rest of specs are quite similar as rumors, which include Snapdragon 800 SoC, 2 GB of RAM, 32 GB internal storage, 13 MP camera and Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.

The Google Nexus 5 is said to be having a 2,300 mAh battery for 16 GB version and 3,000 mAh battery for 32 GB version. However, the latest rumor has pointed that the Nexus 5 will be having 2,300 mAh battery for both 16 GB and 32 GB versions. FanaticFone.com recently get their hands-on the 2,300 mAh battery of the Google Nexus 5.


As you can see from the image above, the Google Nexus 5 battery has a capacity of 2,300 mAh. This might be a disappointment to some users as the rumored specs of the Nexus 5 may just drain the battery quickly.

LG G Flex leaks in photos and video

LG is said to unveil a curved display smartphone soon, as the Samsung Galaxy Round is now official, it seems that LG is gonna to unveil the competitor of Galaxy Round soon. Today, the LG G Flex leaked in a few photos and a video, showing the design of the smartphone.

The photo above shows the curved body of the LG G Flex. The following video below shows the device curved display. It's reported that the screen is 6" full HD curved OLED and as you can see from the video below it looks pretty good.

Google Nexus 5 in Canadian carrier branded leaks

We know that the Nexus 5 is coming soon, and once again the Nexus 5 leaked in a couple of press shots, showing that the phone in Canadian carrier branded - Telus.


The press shots are come from Telus, although there isn't much new to see in the images. The only thing we know is the UI has been redesigned. The report also mentions that the Nexus 5 will be coming to carriers in Canada.

Android 4.4 KitKat to go official on 28th of October alongside with Nexus 5

The Google Nexus 5 and Android 4.4 KitKat keep appeared on web in these few days, it means that the official release date of the next Google device and mobile OS are really near.

Yesterday, KitKat had posted a teaser image of the upcoming Android 4.4 KitKat release date. The next Android OS seems to be hinting at 28th of October as release date.

Before the teaser image was uploaded, the first tweet was "Everybody dance now!", which refers to a C+C Music Factory song, a group previously known as 28th Street Crew (until 1989). Although the first tweet did not revealed much details of the release date, but yesterday's hint is a bit clearer - "This is it".

I'm sure you already knew how will the upcoming Google Nexus 5 look like. This time around, the Google Nexus 5 leaked in a Russian site. The new photos are quite similar to the previous leaks, but what's new is the phone is fingerprint magnet on the front and back although the back of the upcoming Nexus 5 is not glass.


The Nexus 5 has been leaked in live photos many times, we're not surprise that the phone will continue leaks out with more and more live photos or even official renders.

Google Nexus 5 hands-on video leaks

After the screenshots of Nexus 5 (or Android 4.4 KitKat) leaked, the Google Nexus 5 made another appearance but this time around it is a hands-on video.



The device is likely a prototype as there's a "not for sale" sign, as well as lacks the large, landscape-oriented Nexus logo we’ve seen in previous leaks.
