Lenovo Vibe Z a.k.a K910 reveals with Snapdragon 800 processor

Lenovo has launched the frist Vibe series device - Vibe X S960, in China yesterday. However, a new handset was spotted at the launch event - Vibe Z a.k.a K910.



The Lenovo Vibe Z was previous known as K910, and it is the successor of the Intel-powered K900. The design of the handset is similar to the Vibe X which is based on the metal material. This also meant that the Vibe series devices are basically based on metal material.

Here's the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 drop test

AndroidAuthority.com has did a drop test of the Galaxy Note 3. As you know, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is a huge device, users got higher chance to drop the phone that the other smaller devices. As expected, the Galaxy Note 3 screen has cracked after the drop test.

The Galaxy Note 3 didn’t make it through. But the silver lining is the device remained in one piece, and even better, the display underneath the shattered screen didn’t break. If it’s any consolation, that means you might be able to use the phone until you can replace the screen.

Instead you are wondering when will the Sony Xperia Z Ultra LTE variant enters Malaysian markets, here's a good news for you. The Sony Xperia Z Ultra LTE is coming to Malaysia soon, Sony Malaysia has just listed it on the official website.

HTC One Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update now rolling out

HTC recently did not did well in software update, the Snapdragon S3 powered HTC One S did not received any further update more after the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update with Sense 4+, many users start complaining to HTC because this situation happened. HTC One Max photos leak again

We just can say that HTC this time did not keep its upcoming phablet - HTC One Max, in safe. This time around, the HTC One Max leaked in an official source, China's Teena, which is a site that normally smartphone will pass through before announced.

As you can see, the design of the HTC One Max is almost same as what its leaked previously. Meanwhile, the site page describes the phone as: "the equipment for the dual card dual standby mobile phone dual-pass." Oppo has just announced its latest flagship device - the Oppo N1. The Oppo N1 is runs on Colour OS based on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.

Android 4.4 KitKat UI leak

Google had announced that next Android version will be called as Android 4.4 KitKat few weeks ago. Previously, there are a lot of rumors pointed that the LG Nexus 5 and Android 4.4 KitKat will be release on October. Well, the official release date is just few weeks away, so we're not surprise that the Android 4.4 KitKat UI leaked.

LG Vu 3 is now official with new QuickView covers

Before the Optimus G Pro, LG had a phablet - Optimus Vu and Optimus Vu II. Now, LG has announced the third generation LG Vu 3 without "Optimus" branding once again.



The LG Vu 3 has the same 4:3 aspect ratio display similar to the previous generation. However, it has a bigger 5.2" IPS LCD display at 1,280 x 960 resolution which is at 307 ppi pixel density. LG claims this aspect is better for reading text (both documents and web pages). The LG Vu 3 has a identical design as the Optimus G Pro, but it comes with a stylus with a rubber tip but there's no additional digitizer for it.

Few days ago, BlackBerry had unveiled their latest flagship device - BlackBerry Z30. It's time for the entry-level BlackBerry smartphone. Today a BlackBerry C series smartphone surfaced. The C series is an entry-level handset, it is another BlackBerry 10 smartphone, of course.

Nokia Windows RT tablet will be called as Lumia 2520

Nokia upcoming press event is not only for the Lumia 1520, it's also an announcement for their first ever Windows RT tablet, which is codenamed as Nokia Sirius. However, it seems that the Nokia Sirius will be soon having a proper name - Nokia Lumia 2520.

Nokia Lumia 1520 will be powered by Snapdragon 800 processor, photo leaks

Currently all phablet that dominate the markets are all Android-powered device, but it seems that this situation will no longer be the same. Nokia, which is Windows Phone 8 device currently is working on a 6" phablet - Lumia 1520, the phablet is said to be launched on 22nd of October Nokia event.

So, before the official announcement of Lumia 1520, you can expect that it will make several appearance on web. The Lumia 1520 live photo has leaked once again on the web.

Just less than after three weeks from IFA 2013, Samsung Malaysia today has announced that the Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Gear will available in Malaysia from 25th of September. The Galaxy Note 3 is priced at RM 2,399 while the Galaxy Gear is priced at RM 999.



The Galaxy Note 3 is Samsung latest flagship device after the Galaxy S4, and the Galaxy Gear is Samsung's first ever smartwatch, it can only works with several Samsung high-end devices such as Galaxy S III, Galaxy S4, Galaxy Note II, Galaxy Note 3 and  Galaxy Note 10.1 2014. The older devices (not the Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Note 10.1 2014) will need a software update. The connection is achieved through power-efficient Bluetooth 4.0 LE.

BlackBerry announces Z30 with 5" 720p display

BlackBerry has just announced their new flagship device BlackBerry Z30. The size and shape looks identical to the rumour that media has made couple of weeks ago.

      

It has a 5" HD Super AMOLED display with 294 ppi. Like the BlackBerry Z10, the Z30 also has a 16 GB internal storage and  2 GB of RAM which suitable for multitasking. It offers a micro SD card slot to expand the storage if needed.

The LG Nexus 5 was leaked in a press render previously and today we got some images and a video of the LG Nexus 5.

This time, the LG Nexus logo has appeared on the back of the device which is quite similar to the Google Nexus 7 (2013). However, we're able to see the "S" word only as the "N", "E", "X" and "U" is covered.

Snapdragon S4 powered HTC One S will getting Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean with Sense 5 update

Back to July, HTC had dropped the plan for updating the One S to Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean with Sense 5 UI. HTC did not state the reason why the One S not getting Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean with Sense 5 update. According to some source, HTC stop updating the One S due to the Qualcomm Snapdragon S3 powered HTC One S C2 (Ville C2) variant which was released in Asian (including Malaysia) and select eastern European markets.



Qualcomm has stopped critical software support for the S3, leaving the obligation to update those gnarly pieces of chipset software on OEMs. Coding the Android 4.2 update with Sense 5 for the S3 variant of the One S would not be impossible, but it would force HTC software engineers to take on an extremely difficult and expensive task which has typically fallen on Qualcomm’s shoulders. Here's a good news for Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 powered HTC One S users, the One S will receive Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update soon alongside with Sense 5 UI.

Sony Xperia Z2 (C770X) specs leak, codenamed Avatar

The Sony Xperia Z1 has just announced last week and today the Sony Xperia Z2 (C770X) specs had leaked. The Xperia Z2 (C770X), codenamed as Avatar, and will be Sony's next year flagship device.

The Xperia Z2 will feature a 5.2" Full HD IGZO Triluminos display with a 500 ppi pixel density, which is not quite logic as 5.2" Full HD display can only reach around 424 ppi pixel density. It will be powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor with 3 GB of RAM.

Nokia had Lumia Android phones in the work before selling to Microsoft

It seems that Nokia Android device not just a discussion, but it was a reality. According to The New York Times, a team within Nokia has Android up and running on Lumia handsets before the company was sold to Microsoft.

We're not surprise that Nokia would have been discussing an Android device internally, it could have meant that Nokia will no longer sticking on Windows Phone. The deal between Nokia and Windows Phone device was in place until the end of 2014, and the Finnish company would have been free to do whatever they wanted to do.

HTC One Max gets sized up against the One

The IFA 2013 has past and HTC did not announced the One Max, we expect HTC to unveil a phone that can compete with the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 - HTC One Max. Judging from the name, you can expect that the One Max will be a larger version of the One and pack with some higher specs than the One. Today, the HTC One Max gets sized up against the HTC One in a couple of photos.



From the photo above, you can see that the One Max is larger than the One. It seems that the rumored 5.9" display is the main factor that makes the phone become larger. Same, the One Max will feature a  HTC BoomSound, which is dual frontal stereo speakers. It also has an aluminium unibody too. The One Max also has two Android capacitive touch keys - Back and Home, and the HTC logo is located between both buttons.

LG Nexus 5 tipped for 14th of October release date alongside with Android 4.4 KitKat

When we saw the leaked of the Nexus 5 we knew that Google is going to announce the Nexus 5 alongside with Android 4.4 KitKat very soon. Today we found out that several rumors have said that 14th of October will be the official release date for the Nexus 5 and also Android 4.4 KitKat.

The Android 4.4 KitKat will make some changes such as a new color to replace the cyan blue text and accents, tons of new animations , APIs, gallery visualizations and tweaks, and a new notification widget.

Looks like Asus Malaysia finally ready to bring in the new Google Nexus 7 to Malaysia. Asus Malaysia has listed the Google Nexus 7 (2013) in product guide. The Wi-Fi only 16 GB variant will retail at RM 999, while the Wi-Fi + LTE 32 GB variant will priced at RM 1,299.



The pricing of the new Nexus 7 are same as what we expected when it was announced. It's a great competitor the the Apple iPad mini and also a good deal to purchase it.

The Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Gear was announced at IFA 2013 few days ago, and it seems that both devices will be heading our markets very soon. Samsung Malaysia just sent out a media invite for a launch event happening next Friday, 20th of September. Yes, it is Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Gear media event, the event is just one day after the Nokia Lumia 1020 media event.

Unfortunately, no word on the official date of availability and the pricing too, but do check back to us as we'll bring the information to you. But today Samsung has confirmed that they will bring LTE variant only of Galaxy Note 3 in Malaysia, which mean that we will only see the Galaxy Note 3 that powered by Snapdragon 800 processor in Malaysia.



Although the Exynos variant of Galaxy Note 3 will not available in Malaysia, but the Galaxy Note 3 that powered by Snapdragon 800 processor is fast enough, it may faster than the Exynos one.

Sony Xperia Z1 mini live image and front panel leak

So, after the Sony Xperia Z1 official at IFA 2013, what will it be the next? Here's an idea for you, rumors say that Sony will also join the mini version markets, which means that the Xperia Z1 will getting a mini version - Sony Xperia Z1 mini.

Apple iPhone 5S specs and home button/Touch ID sensor confirmed

Apple is supposed announce the iPhone 5S in less than 24 hours, and today the specs and home button/Touch ID sensor of the iPhone 5S get confirmed.



The iPhone 5S will be having the same display size with same resolution, the dimensions are also exactly same. The camera is still an 8 MP shooter, but now has a wider aperture (f/2.0 instead of f/2.4). Other specs change include the same 1.2 MP front camera but this it is wide angle, dual-LED flash, 1080p video recording at 120fps, faster Apple A7 chipset, fingerprint scanner and a improved battery life at 250 hours of standby.

Just less than 24 hours then Apple will revealed in latest iPhone, but CTech already posted a 15 second video of the iPhone 5C. The video shows the device being unlocked, a quick peek at the app launcher and then the browser.

The HTC Desire 500 was HTC latest mid-range smartphone and it was announced last month. The Desire 500 is powered by 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 200 processor with 1 GB of RAM. Surprisingly, although the Desire 500 is a mid-range smartphone, but it does runs on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean with HTC Sense 5 UI on top. HTC American's president Jason Mackenzie responded to some questions on Twitter regarding to the HTC One upcoming Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update. He says the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean development for the One is right on schedule and the roll out will start by the end of this month as promised. This applies for both U.S and E.U HTC One units, no word on the international version of HTC One.

GSMArena has also posted an image of HTC One running on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. The image was shot at IFA 2013. From the image above, the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean still running with Sense 5 UI on top, but not as the rumored HTC One Max with Sense 5.5 UI.
