Google announces Android 4.4 KitKat

Android 4.4 KitKat was announced alongside with the Nexus 5. As expected, the new Nexus 5 is the first phone to run this version.

This time the Google Nexus 5 appeared officially, which means that the new Nexus smartphone manufactured by LG is now official.

The Nexus 5 has a 4.95" Full HD display at 445 ppi of pixel density. It is powered by 2.3 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor with 2 GB of RAM. The phone has 16/32 GB internal storage without microSD card slot.

Asus Malaysia reduces the pricing of the MeMO Pad HD 7

Asus Malaysia has announced that there will be a new pricing for the Asus MeMO Pad HD 7. The MeMO Pad HD 7 is now at a lower pricing of RM 599, which dropped from RM 649.

According to Asus Malaysia, the new pricing will commence from today onwards. Specs wise, the Asus MeMO Pad has a quad-core processor and 1GB RAM for smooth social networking and web browsing. It has a 7" IPS display with resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels.

Google Nexus 5 by LG appears on online retailer and Canadian wireless carrier, specs get confirmed

The Google Nexus 5 will be manufactured by LG, but the official release date of the next Nexus device is still unclear. Well, Dutch online retailer Belsimpel has put up the Nexus 5 on sale already, and the pricing of the it is expensive comparing to the Google Play Store that has leaked previously.



The Nexus 5 is priced at € 459 and it is also available on contract with Tele2 for € 36 a month, Hi HS Student Medium for € 35 a month and T-Mobile for € 47 a month. It is a 2 years contract with a free 16 GB Nexus 5. Well, Belsimpel has now taken down the offer of Nexus 5 although the page can still be viewed.

Samsung working on low-cost Galaxy S4 Active?

Samsung Galaxy S4 Active was the rugged version of the Galaxy S4, it is the first Samsung's waterproof smartphone that enters Malaysian market. Despite the upgrade version of Galaxy S4 Active with Snapdragon 800 SoC, it seems that Samsung is also working on a lower-cost Galaxy S4 Active.



From the image above, you can see that the lower-cost Galaxy S4 Active looks identical to the original Galaxy S4 Active. It has the same three hardware navigation buttons - Menu, Home and Back buttons. The low-cost Galaxy S4 Active carries with the model number of GT-I8580.

LG has finally announced their first curved display smartphone in Korea - LG G Flex. The LG G Flex will hit all three major carriers in Korea next month.

The LG G Flex has a curved OLED display on the front, it has a 6" 720p display instead of 1080p that found on the Galaxy Round. The G Flex has IMAX cinema-like horizontal curve in landscape mode will allow for an immersive experience when watching videos or playing video games.

The LG G Flex has leaked in photos and video recently, showing the curved display of the smartphone. This time around, the LG G Flex appeared on AnTuTu tests, where the benchmark recorded the device's specs and scores in its database.

According to AnTuTu, the LG G Flex has a 6" 720p display instead of previous 1080p rumors. The rest of specs are quite similar as rumors, which include Snapdragon 800 SoC, 2 GB of RAM, 32 GB internal storage, 13 MP camera and Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.

Sony Xperia Z1S is the Xperia Z1 mini, first live photo leaks

The Sony Xperia Z1S is still an unofficial Xperia smartphone, it is said to be the T-Mobile variant of Xperia Z1 or the international variant of Xperia Z1. Previous leaks have revealed how will the Xperia Z1S looks like, today the Xperia Z1S finally appeared in a live photo for first time.

The leaked live photo above looks similar to the previous press render of Xperia Z1S that published by evleaks earlier. The live photo was found accidentally in Sony's website and it is not the already announced Japan-bound Xperia Z1 f. You can see that the front-facing camera on the Xperia Z1 f is on its right side, while here the camera is on the left. Moreover, there is no logo for NTT DoCoMo, something that’s found on the Xperia Z1 f.

Google Nexus 5 confirmed having 2,300 mAh battery through leaked images

The Google Nexus 5 is said to be having a 2,300 mAh battery for 16 GB version and 3,000 mAh battery for 32 GB version. However, the latest rumor has pointed that the Nexus 5 will be having 2,300 mAh battery for both 16 GB and 32 GB versions. FanaticFone.com recently get their hands-on the 2,300 mAh battery of the Google Nexus 5.

As you can see from the image above, the Google Nexus 5 battery has a capacity of 2,300 mAh. This might be a disappointment to some users as the rumored specs of the Nexus 5 may just drain the battery quickly.

Sony Xperia Z1S may unveils on 12nd of November

Sony is rumored to unveil the Xperia Z1S on 12nd of November, as well as another device codenamed Xperia Taichi. The event will be held in Shanghai and both new Xperia Z1S and Xperia Taichi will go official on that day.

However, no word on the Xperia Z1S. The Xperia Z1S may be the international version of Xperia Z1 f or T-Mobile version Xperia Z1. There's a higher probability that the Xperia Z1S is the international version of Xperia Z1 f as the smaller brother of Xperia Z1 already undergone several benchmark tests, which showed that it easily will be the best performer in the mini league.

LG is said to unveil a curved display smartphone soon, as the Samsung Galaxy Round is now official, it seems that LG is gonna to unveil the competitor of Galaxy Round soon. Today, the LG G Flex leaked in a few photos and a video, showing the design of the smartphone.

Nokia officially announces the new Lumia series devices

The rumors is finally over, Nokia has just officially announced the new Lumia 1520, Lumia 1320 and the Windows 8.1 RT tablet Lumia 2520.

Just as previous rumors, the Nokia Lumia 1520 is the Nokia very first 6" phablet with 1080p display. The design of the Lumia 1520 is similar as the previous leaks.

The Lumia 1520 looks identical to the Lumia 1020, it is powered by a 2.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, which is the first Windows Phone to run on quad-core processor, and 2 GB of RAM. The phablet has a large 6" 1080p display, the larger screen has allowed for a third column of Live Tiles on the home screen plus it allows more screen real estate for large tiles.

Nokia has just officially unveiled the new Asha series smartphones - Asha 500, Asha 502 and Asha 503. The new Asha series smartphones are actually for the emerging markets. All three devices will come with an additional "ice layer" on top of the characteristic bright colors - essentially a clear shell covering the back of the device.

The Nokia Lumia 1520 will debut in just less than 24 hours, but the Nokia Lumia 1520 has already appeared on a Chinese online store, the online store has listed the Lumia 1520 and it is priced at CNY 4,999 (which is around RM 2,600). Well the site has removed the product page of Lumia 1520, but thankfully we still able to get some information of the Lumia 1520.

Just as previous post, the Sony Xperia C is now finally available in Malaysia with official pricing RM 999. Back to July, the first Sony's dual-SIM quad-core device was announced alongside with the world's slimmest Full HD display smartphone - Xperia Z Ultra.

Sony has announced a mini version of Xperia Z1 - Xperia Z1f, for Japanese market recently. Well the international version of Xperia Z1f has been confirmed to launch soon but there's no exact release date of the handset.

Today, a new press render leaked by evleaks, showing a new Xperia smartphone that looks identical to the Xperia Z1. However, no further detail has been revealed except the name - Xperia Z1S.

According to evleaks, the Xperia handset above will named as Xperia Z1S, which maybe the international version of Xperia Z1f or just a carrier branded T-Mobile Xperia Z1 for US market.

Apple iPhone 5c and iPhone 5s pricing leak

We all know that the iPhone 5c and iPhone 5s will hit our shores on 31st of October and all three major local telcos as well as several Apple resellers have already started their teasers and registration of interests. However, the pricing of both iPhones are still unknown, all we have to do is just wait for 2 weeks until the official launch event of both iPhones in Malaysia and the pricing will reveal on that day.

Before that, it seems that Malaysian Wireless has got some insider information about the pricing of both iPhones.



The iPhone 5c will be price at RM 1,899 for 16 GB version, while the iPhone 5s will price at RM 2,299 for 16 GB, RM 2,599 for 32 GB and RM 2,899 for 64 GB. The pricing of the iPhone 5s is slightly higher than past few years iPhone starting price (RM  2,199).

The Nokia Lumia 1520 is expected to be unveil at Nokia World event on 22nd of October next week. Well, this doesn't mean that the leak of the upcoming Nokia 6" phablet will stop. Today, the Lumia 1520 leaks in new colour - cyan.

Samsung Galaxy S4 LTE receives official Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update

Samsung has finally update the Galaxy S4 to Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, but it is only available in the LTE variant (GT-I9505).



The update is currently available in Germany while other country will be getting the update soon. According to SamMobile, the update has increased the Antutu Benchmark score from 25-26K to 29-30K.

Sony Malaysia online store listed availability of SmartWatch 2 and Smart Bluetooth Handset - SBH52

While the Samsung Galaxy Gear is still new in Malaysia, it seems that the Sony Smartwatch 2, which was announced at Shanghai alongside with Xperia Z Ultra in July, is now available in Malaysia.

The SmartWatch 2 will be available in two variants - the black metal strap (RM 850) and standard rubber strap variant (RM 780). Both variants feature 1.6" 220 x 176 LCD display, Bluetooth 3.0, NFC and compatibility for most Android smartphones.Bluetooth 3.0, NFC and compatibility for most Android smartphones.

The Smart Bluetooth Handset - SBH52 is also available in Sony Malaysia online store, it is priced at RM 480.

The Google Nexus 5 and Android 4.4 KitKat keep appeared on web in these few days, it means that the official release date of the next Google device and mobile OS are really near.

Yesterday, KitKat had posted a teaser image of the upcoming Android 4.4 KitKat release date. The next Android OS seems to be hinting at 28th of October as release date.

Before the teaser image was uploaded, the first tweet was "Everybody dance now!", which refers to a C+C Music Factory song, a group previously known as 28th Street Crew (until 1989). Although the first tweet did not revealed much details of the release date, but yesterday's hint is a bit clearer - "This is it".

I'm sure you already knew how will the upcoming Google Nexus 5 look like. This time around, the Google Nexus 5 leaked in a Russian site. The new photos are quite similar to the previous leaks, but what's new is the phone is fingerprint magnet on the front and back although the back of the upcoming Nexus 5 is not glass.
