Asus announces 8" Windows 8 tablet with Wacom pen

Asus has announced new 8" Windows 8 tablet - the Asus VivoTab Note 8. The VivoTab Note 8 comes with Wacom stylus, a 8" 1280 x 800 pixel IPS display, 2 GB of RAM, 5 MP camera and a HD front-facing camera.



The tablet is powered by Bay Trail Atom Chip clocked at 1.86 GHz. The Wacom stylus can purportedly deal with 1,000 pressure levels, making this a potentially enticing device for artists and users who are looking for a more true-to-life longhand writing experience. In the Windows tablet landscape, there really isn’t anything else like it, so it makes sense for ASUS to push the Wacom stylus’ technology.

Samsung has announced a bunch of Pro versions of Galaxy Note and Galaxy Tab tablets in CES 2014.

Asus announces Zenfone series

Asus has announced a bunch of Zenfones with 4", 5" and 6" display. These three devices are all powered by Intel Atom processor and all are dual-SIM smartphones too.

And so here we go, the Zenfone 4 is the smallest among the 3 of them. It has a 4" TFT LED Backlight with WVGA resolution.



The phone is powered by 1.2 GHz dual-core Intel Z2520 processor with 1 GB of RAM. At the back it has a 5 MP camera and there's also a front-facing camera too. The phone has 4 GB internal storage with microSD card slot. The Zenfone 4 also has a 1,170 mAh battery and it is running on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean with Asus ZenUI. The phone is also upgradable to Android 4.4 KitKat and it has black, white, red, yellow and blue colours.

Sony Xperia Z1 Compact goes official, a mini version of Xperia Z1

CES 2014 has started and Sony is the first manufacturer to announce their latest smartphone - the Sony Xperia Z1 Compact. The Sony Xperia Z1 Compact is also known as Xperia Z1 mini, which is the international version of Xperia Z1 f.



Unlike other "mini" device, the Xperia Z1 Compact has all same specs as its bigger brother. However it has a smaller 4.3" display with 720p display and smaller 2,300 mAh battery.

Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 leaks in a press render

It seems that there will be a new Galaxy Tab series tablet joining the Samsung tablet family. @evleaks has uploaded a press render of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4.



As you can see from the render above, the Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 packs the same design language as the Galaxy Note 3 and can be say as smaller version of Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition). It has the same leather back and the tablet is quite boxy.

Sony Sirius might coming to CES with Snapdragon 805 processor

Sony China holds a press event for Xperia Z1 mini on January 14th

The Sony Xperia Z1 mini has been rumored since the Xperia Z1 was announced in last year IFA. Well the CES 2014 is just few days away and today Sony China has sent out an invitation for a press event.

The first thought when we saw this press invite was the Xperia Z1 mini, as the Japanese version Xperia Z1 f is available in yellow, black, white and pink colours. The invitation has proved that the Xperia Z1 mini will be launching soon and we expect it will make its own debut in CES 2014, and it will launch in China on January 14th.

HTC M8 will be named as HTC One+ and powered by Snapdragon 805 SoC

The HTC M8 was rumored to have a Snapdragon 800 processor, 2 GB RAM, UltraPixel camera, 2.1 MP front-facing shooter, 5" Full HD display and running on Android 4.4 KitKat with Sense 6 UI. However today there's a new rumor pointing that the successor of HTC One will be called as HTC One+ and it will be powered by Snapdragon 805 SoC.

Samsung Galaxy Camera 2 goes official

Samsung has just made the Galaxy Camera 2 official, the second generation Galaxy Camera has brought some upgrade includes new design, faster processor, more RAM and storage, newer Android version and an additional NFC connectivity.


It seems that Samsung didn't really makes a huge upgrade on the new Galaxy Camera, it is still able to shoot 1080p@30fps, 720p@60fps and 512p@120fps videos.

The Galaxy Camera 2 has a faster quad-core processor which is clocked at 1.6 GHz and it has 2 GB RAM alongside with 8 GB internal storage. However according to Samsung, there are only 2.8 GB user available out of 8 GB total storage. User can still expand it via microSD card up to 64 GB.
